The “Market is closed” message means the product you are trying to trade is currently outside its available trading hours. This can happen during weekends, market holidays, or scheduled market breaks.
Each trading product has its own trading schedule. When the market is closed, you cannot open or modify trades for that product until its trading session resumes.
Trading hours may vary depending on the product and can be affected by market holidays or other scheduled closures.
How to Check the Trading Hours
You can check the trading schedule for a specific product directly in MT4 or MT5:
- Open the Market Watch window.
- Right-click the product you want to trade.
- Select Specification.
- Scroll to the Trading Sessions or trading-hours section in the contract details.
- Check the available trading periods for the product.
