An “invalid account” error may appear when you use the wrong trading platform or server, or enter an incorrect account number or password.
What should I check before logging in ?
Check your trading platform. Use MetaTrader 4 (MT4) for an MT4 account or MetaTrader 5 (MT5) for an MT5 account.
Confirm your trading server. Select the server assigned to your account, as shown in your Client Portal.
Verify your account number and password. Type your login details manually to avoid extra spaces from copying and pasting. Make sure Caps Lock is off.
Check whether your demo account has expired. If you are using a demo account, check whether it has expired. Demo accounts typically have an expiration period of 30 days. Open a new demo account if needed.
Try logging in again. Use the correct trading platform, assigned trading server and verified login details.
For a live trading account, select the assigned live server. A demo server is intended for demo accounts and may prevent you from accessing a live account.
What if I cannot find my assigned server?
If your assigned server is not in the list, type the server name from your Client Portal directly into the Server field when you log in.
