Why do I need more margins to open a trade?
You may need more margins to open a trade when dynamic leverage temporarily reduces the leverage available for new positions during major economic news releases or market opening and closing periods. This adjustment applies automatically. Dynamic leverage is a risk-management measure used to manage exposure during potentially volatile market conditions. It does not protect trading positions against market losses. Your displayed account leverage setting remains unchanged.
When does dynamic leverage apply?
Dynamic leverage may apply during major economic announcements or market opening and closing periods that could cause significant price movements. For the release times of major weekly economic news data, you can check on Ultima Markets official website's economic calendar. Click: Economic-calendar.
Examples of Economic News Events include:
US economic news: FOMC interest rate decisions, Consumer Price Index (CPI), Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI), Non-Manufacturing Index (NMI), Producer Price Index (PPI), Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE), Retail Sales, Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP), and ADP employment data.
Oil-related news: Crude Oil Inventories.
Economic news from other countries: Major CPI, PMI, and GDP releases.
Unscheduled events do not trigger Dynamic Leverage. However, separate leverage reductions may be applied at short notice during unusual or exceptional market conditions.
Dynamic Leverage applies during the following periods:

What should I check before opening a trade?
Before opening a trade during a Dynamic Leverage period, you should:
Check the Economic Calendar for scheduled high-impact news releases that may trigger Dynamic Leverage.
Check the applicable leverage for the product you want to trade.
Review your available free margin and estimated margin requirements.
Consider reducing your trading volume if your available margin is insufficient.
Note: CFDs are leveraged products and involve a high level of risk. Leverage can magnify both profits and losses. Positions may be subject to margin close-out or stop-out if the account does not maintain the required margin.
